Departing from Essex on Sunday  circa 6am - arriving in Normandy at circa 3pm - Departing Normandy Saturday  circa 11am arriving home in Essex circa 6pm
Typical Schedule...
  1. Sunday
    Depart Essex at 6am - cars can be left on drive - arrive 4pm - settle in and then at 8pm - walk (1 mile) to Au Bon Vent restaurant. Excellent 3 course meal (included in price) - buffet starters and desert and choice of main meal - really is a lovely place and a nice stumble back via "Petite Cascade".
  2. Monday
    After breakfast we will have a gentle "get to know the area" group run - plenty of stops to take in the many sights and covering a total of about 6 miles - after lunch we will be doing hill reps - suitable for all abilities, whether it's your first introduction to hills or you're a fully fledged mountain goat.
  3. Tuesday
    First long run of the trip - Opportunity to be dropped off and run back to base with a choice of various distances ranging from 4 to 26 miles along the GR22 - The terrain will be largely trail with clear waymarkers to follow. The afternoon is free to undertake one of the many other activities or just relax.
  4. Wednesday
    In the morning we will do an interval session and some general conditioning work - In the afternoon there will be a trip to the second most popular tourist attraction in France - The Mont Saint Michel - in the early evening there will be a guided local run
  5. Thursday
    This day is beach day! - trip over to Carolles where we shall walk/jog the magnificent cliff top path with views over to Mt St Michel - In the afternoon, a beach run of various distances - out and back. Beach BBQ if weather is great or otherwise, garage BBQ
  6. Friday
    Last chance for a long trail - the GR22 from St Pois to Le Neufbourg is 17 miles and there are various locations for drop off for shorter routes back - In the evening a headtorch run around the Mortain trails
  7. Saturday
    Time to return home - there will be time for a short run in the morning but otherwise the day will be "en voyage" - returning to Essex circa 6pm
