what to expect....
Day one - Friday
Departure day
Depart Essex at 6am - cars can be left on driveway - arrive at base 4pm - jog around the local sites, taking in both waterfalls and the various viewpoints (6 miles gentle jog) - Time to settle in and then at 8pm - walk (1 mile) to Au Bon Vent restaurant in Mortain. Excellent 3 course meal (included in price) - buffet starters and desert and choice of main meal - really is a lovely place and a nice stumble back via "Petite Cascade".
what to expect....
up at 6 - yes 6am - visit to Mont St Michel, before the crowds arrive - then in the afternoon - Carolles plage (beach) - cliff top walk/jog - we will need to stop for many photo opportunities (6 miles) - then a beach run (one of those tide cleaned and flattened sweeping 10 mile sandy bay beaches) - 3-8 miles, depending on taste - if weather is good we will stay at the beach for a sunset over the sea BBQ - if the weather is poor, we will head back to base for an "indoor BBQ"
Day two - Saturday
Mont St Michel and Beach and cliff views day
what to expect....
The GR22 becons - This is probably the most famous (in France) long distance trail that runs from Paris to Mont St Michel. There will be a choice of anything from 4 to 26 miles on offer, to be run or walked. I will provide a service of drink stops and kit carrying so that all you need to think about is the trail and the views.  Thus you can travel light, enjoy the trail and enjoy a hearty runners meal at the end (that's slang for one of my pasta specials)

In the late afternoon, you can relax or the more adventurous might try the zipwire course - over 800m of cable to fly over the park (July/Aug). It is only 3 miles from base and about £10 per person. They normally let you go round again as the price is the entry to the park.

If we are in the summer months, there is also the open air swimming pool in Mortain or Go Karting to choose from.
Day three - Sunday
The big trail run and a bit of adventurous activity
what to expect....
Return trip to the UK - with either a visit to the WW2 landing sites or a coastal town on the way home. Should be home in Essex by 8pm
Day four - Monday
Home again with a stop over
